
Pangkep State Agricultural Polytechnic and Fistx Indonesia Establish Cooperation to Develop a Centre of Excellence for Ornamental Coral Cultivation
Yogyakarta, 10 December 2025 — Pangkep State Agricultural Polytechnic (Polipangkep) has officially established a partnership with FisTx Indonesia through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to develop a Centre of Excellence for coral cultivation in Indonesia.

The signing of this cooperation took place on Tuesday, 10 December 2025, at the FisTx Indonesia Office in Yogyakarta, as a strategic step to strengthen the synergy between vocational education and the sustainable aquaculture technology industry.
This collaboration aims to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) in the field of fisheries, including education, research, and community service. FisTx Indonesia acts as an industry partner that provides innovation and technology for the development of modern, stable, and export-oriented ornamental coral cultivation.

The Deputy Director of Cooperation at the Pangkep State Agricultural Polytechnic, Ardiansyah, S.Pi., M.Biotech.St., Ph.D, stated that this collaboration is aimed at producing ornamental coral cultivation with a high survival rate.
‘We hope that this collaboration will produce an ornamental coral cultivation system that can become a leading export-oriented product of the Pangkep State Agricultural Polytechnic,’ he said.
He added that this collaboration also opens up opportunities to improve student competence through industry collaboration.
‘The collaboration with FisTx Indonesia opens up opportunities to improve student competence through industrial internship programmes and practice-based learning,’ he said.
Meanwhile, the CEO of FisTx Indonesia emphasised the company's commitment to supporting the development of this centre of excellence.
‘FisTx Indonesia welcomes this collaboration and is ready to fully support the development of the ornamental coral cultivation centre of excellence together with the Pangkep State Agricultural Polytechnic,’ he said.
According to him, this support will be realised through the application of FisTx's superior technology.
‘We contribute through technological innovations in water processing and quality stabilisation, which are FisTx's strengths, to support sustainable and economically valuable cultivation,’ he concluded.
This collaboration is expected to foster the emergence of a research and technology-based centre of excellence for ornamental coral cultivation, while strengthening Indonesia's competitiveness in the ornamental aquaculture export market.
